Planning for and carrying out an event requires managing multiple details. Following is a list of requests and reminders to help ensure a successful event.

• Ground transportation to and from event (beyond 20 miles) is reimbursable at $.38/mile
• Arrangements made for Miss Thurston County and her travel companion should include meals, overnight accommodations, and travel arrangements (as necessary)
• Introduce and/or inform Miss Thurston County, Executive Director, Business Manager, and travel companion of current title holders, organization/event leaders, community leaders, media, etc. that are in attendance (prior to event if at all possible)
• Identify dressing/waiting area for Miss Thurston County if necessary
• Brief Business Manager and Executive Director of any anticipated media coverage
