She will compete for the title of Miss Washington 2008 in October and hopefully go on to the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas.
With no entry fee required, MTCSP provides equal access to those interested in demonstrating their skills and talents, cutting across economic and cultural lines. This program is open to women ages 17 to 24, enabling them to work towards becoming the next Miss Thurston County. Awarded scholarships are used to support educational costs, tuition, books, and related fees. The young women competing for these scholarships are talented high achievers, reaching for the best in their chosen fields, with the ambition of representing our county, state, and ultimately our nation as Miss America.
Your financial support is what makes this program of personal excellence, talent, and community involvement a reality for Thurston County. This enables charities, schools, businesses, and community organizations to utilize the talents and skills of Miss Thurston County, helping build a stronger community, making it a better place to live and own a business.
Community Support is what has kept MTSCP vital. In additional to financial support, there are other ways to assist young women in Thurston County: through dedicated through volunteerism!
