SUPPORT THE PROGRAM
BE A SPONSOR

When you hear of the Miss Thurston County Scholarship Program (MTCSP), you should think of the positive impact it has on the community and many people’s lives.

  • An organization dedicated to supporting education, encouraging community service, and providing young women with a forum in which to express their talents, intelligence, and opinions.
  • Young women who, without the scholarship funds and in-kind donations made available by the MTCSP would possibly be unable to support academic goals.
  • A legacy of program participants whose lives have been enhanced because of their experiences and the opportunity to promote their platform on which to contribute to improving the community.

In large part, its the small businesses, large corporations, and community members throughout Thurston County that should be recognized for support of the last 30+ years of MTCSP success.

Join those who have supported MTCSP and help the team of volunteers enhance every young woman’s ability to reach for her dreams. The Miss America Organization is the largest scholarship provider for young women between the ages of 17 and 24. Help be a partner in continuing that success.

Cash Contributions and Sponsorships

Cash donations are a major source of scholarship funds for the MTCSP. There are a number of ways to help:

  • The purchase of advertisements in the pageant program book, sponsorship of the pageant, participation in sponsorship of titleholder’s year of service, and more.
  • Direct financial donations to program accounts. Contributors have the option of earmarking their funds for the scholarship fund account or to help with program operations.

In-Kind Goods and Services

Donations of products, services, and time are equally valuable to MTCSP. In fact, the goal is to fulfill as many needs as possible through in-kind resources. This enables more cash donations to go towards scholarships – directly assisting contestants reach their educational goals. An in-kind contributor will be recognized for support: noted in the pageant program, identified during the pageant, listed on the MTCSP web page, included in the "MTC Messenger Newsletter" in ‘Supporter Spotlight’, and more.

MTCSP Volunteers Raise Funds

The Miss Thurston County volunteers and Board of Directors have been working to help raise funds to support the program's various needs. Many hours have been dedicated to earning scholarship dollars by working a concession stand at Seahawk Stadium, selling holiday wreathes, selling Krispy Kreme donuts, and more. All that have participated in these events had the same goal in mind ... to help MTCSP succeed!

Partnering with volunteers and community supporters has proven to be a critical step in reaching organizational goals. If you have any questions or would like to explore options of providing support, please contact
