Public Relations Coordinator: Responsible for creating a partnership with media (local TV, radio, newspaper, etc.) to market program and title holder activities. Coordinator will initiate and/or assist with preparing written communications – work closely with ED and/or Business Manager to schedule media at program events and MTC appearances. Determine program material needs based on priorities, supporting marketing/awareness efforts, financial solicitation, street/vehicle banners/ marketing tools (posters, etc.).
Web Administrator: Responsible for creating and updating program web page, help explore methods of how to use web as a method of streamlining program business. Administrator will help creating a web that is user friendly to community yet effectively promote the program.
Newsletter Manager: Coordinate preparation and distribute program newsletter. Draft articles, collect article information from team/community, maximizing tool to develop and maintain communications with partners and community members.
Pageant Program Book Coordinator: Responsible for gathering information, determining layout, facilitate all logistics required to final product. Individual(s) will set ad and sponsor deadlines, including all communications regarding completion of program. Coordinator will work with committee members and Executive Director to pull project together.
Ladies Director: Individual is responsible for partnering with contestants during pageant preparation activities. Works with contestants during rehearsals, wardrobe fittings, production preparations, providing direction and guidance up to pageant. Ladies Director works closely with Executive Director on determining needs and priorities, both communicating with contestants regarding logistical details.
Ticket Coordinator: Coordinator responsible for managing and distributing ticket pre-orders, coordinating ticket and program sales day of pageant, and facilitate ‘will call’ tickets. Coordinator will serve as point of contact for public, other local pageant royalty, etc.; recruit help on pageant day/evening to help with ticket sales, money management, etc. as necessary.
Judges Chairperson: Chairperson responsible for obtaining five (5) judges for Pageant and mock interviews, orienting to role, pageant logistics, and other needs as necessary. Chairperson will also arrange for Pageant Auditors. Responsibilities include securing overnight accommodations, interview facility, transporting to and from, and meals; maintaining communications with judges and auditors as necessary to successfully complete responsibilities. Chairperson should also work with Awards Chairperson to secure ‘gift basket’ for these volunteers.
Backstage Crew: Individuals that assist with operations backstage – moving props/equipment, locating producer, basically completing any activities to help ensure smooth operations. Assist in troubleshooting issues that surface.
Ushers/Greeters: Individuals that help direct contestants, honored guests, ticket holders, etc. on day of pageant.
Reception Coordinator: Responsible for organizing reception that follows pageant. Coordinator will handle all logistics and details necessary to celebrate pageant success and acknowledge incoming/outgoing MTC, contestants, and program volunteers.
Awards Chairperson: Responsible for identifying needs and overseeing collection of all ‘awards’ and /or ‘gift packages’ that will be given to contestants and MTC, recognize program volunteers, and support pageant. Chairperson will work with other members to identify needs, potential in-kind donator, etc.
Little Sisters Coordinator: Coordinator is in charge of all aspects of little sisters – recruitment of little sisters and obtaining chaperones as required. Serve as point of contact for all parents of little sisters, assisting with production pieces, and works closely with Producer. Responsible for coordinating and grouping children during pageant.
Pageant Producer: Responsible for pageant production: writing event script, working with lighting/backstage crew, conducting rehearsals, identifying entertainment, coordinating video production, design set, and working with volunteers to complete successful pageant.
Choreographer: Work with contestants to for developing and leading rehearsals for pageant performances. Coordinate with Producer and Executive Director for specifics related to theme, etc.
Alumni Association Coordinator: Coordinator responsible for creating an active contact list for all past Miss Thurston County’s, contestants and possibly past volunteers. Create and encourage an environment of “Giving Back” to the program that gave so much for them. Develop a structure for an ongoing association and its role; serve as point of contact and organize logistics for related events.
MC Liaison: Work with Executive Director to explore options for pageant MC. Serve as a liaison to individual(s), orienting to pageant logistics, etc.

Workshop Coordinator: Work with Executive Director to identify ‘workshop’ needs for contestants and titleholders. Research options and resources to provide educational opportunities. Arrange logistics for training sessions.

Travel Companion Coordinator: Responsible for recruiting and assigning travel companions for current Miss Thurston County and/or contestants during program-sponsored events. Ensure travel companion has necessary information to successfully complete appearance responsibilities, while helping ensure safe environment and return to home.
Special Events Coordinator: Coordinate ‘special events’ that surface, helping to market program, contestants, raise scholarship funds, etc. This Coordinator role is to be a point of contact, other volunteers will assist with completing event logistics. Coordinator will keep Executive Director and Board apprised of status and needs.
Parade Coordinator: Coordinate all needs and details of participating in parades, including researching options, obtaining transportation, completing paperwork, coordinating schedule with Business Manager/Executive Director.
