How has the world you come from shaped your dreams and aspirations?

I am a young woman that has come from a very hardworking, loving, and supportive family. As a papa’s girl and having my mom as one of my best friends, I know my family inspires my future. Family has taught me over the years to love, to work hard for things you want, and to never give up in the face of adversity. My goal as a teacher is to make an impact with children and inspire them to want to learn, just like my family taught me the value of my education.

Of all the ways you could succeed in life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss America Program?
Of all the ways you could succeed in life, why have you chosen to succeed in the Miss America Program?

When I was a young girl I watched a local Miss America pageant. I admired the confidence of the young women in not only their presence on stage, but the power that shined from the heart in their speech. As a titleholder, I have the opportunity to inspire the young children in the community that are now looking to me. I hope to make an impact with my platform and through the hearts of young girls to show that anything is possible when you put your heart and mind to it. The Miss America program has helped generations of women chase their dreams, achieve success, and inspire the community.

What social issue, other than your platform, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why?

The social issue that my generation needs to address is safety in schools. Due to the recent tragedies at schools in the United States, students and families don’t feel safe. As a nation, we need to stand together for the safety concerns of future generations. Acting to identify troubling behavior will help save students everywhere! Safety in schools is imperative, but education is the main priority.
