MAGGIE WILSON
Miss Thurston County's Teen 2025
Hello, my name is Maggie Wilson, and I am honored to hold the title of Miss Thurston County's Teen 2025. I am 14 years old and a 9th-grade student at Annie Wright Schools. Thurston County has always been a special part of my life, as I've spent summers at my family's cabin here, creating incredible memories.

I love staying active throughout the year, whether it's playing volleyball, golfing, skiing or wakeboarding. Outside of my activities, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my older brother and my two black labs- Stratton, who is 8, and Gretzky who is 2 and named after Wayne Gretzky. They may be adorable, but they certainly keep life entertaining!

I was first introduced to the Miss America Organization when I met Regan Gallo, Miss Washington 2022, at an event for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Later, she invited me to the Miss Washington 2023 competition where I was able to see the true sisterhood of the Miss America Organization. When I learned more about the program's focus on Style, Scholarship, Service, Success, and of course Sisterhood, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. Since joining, I have gained confidence, built incredible friendships, and found a meaningful way to use my voice to create change. Competing for Miss Thurston County's Teen was an unforgettable experience, and I am so honored to represent this amazing community.

In addition to my involvement with the Miss America Opportunity, I am passionate about my community service initiative, "IBD Impacts: The Fight We Can't Ignore." My mission is to raise awareness of the daily struggles faced by those living with inflammatory bowel disease and to advocate for better education and support. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2018 and have spent over 150 days in the hospital battling this illness. For almost six years, I have worked closely with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation to support those affected by IBD and to help drive awareness and research efforts. However, I refuse to let this disease define me- instead, I use my experience to support and uplift others facing similar battles. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to use my platform as Miss Thurston County's Teen to continue this important work and make a difference in my community
