HELENA RUDOLF
Miss Thurston County 2026
Hello Thurston County! My name is Helena Rudolf and I am forever grateful to be your Miss Thurston County 2026. I am 21 years old, and I originally grew up in California, but I moved to Washington when I was 18. I am currently a senior at the University of Puget Sound, majoring in Natural Sciences Chemistry and minoring in Mathematics. Currently I am in the process of applying to graduate schools, and my end goal is to earn a P.h.D in Chemistry and become a professional Chemist. I am also a dancer, knitter, and animal enthusiast. My favorite thing to do in my spare time is to watch Grey’s Anatomy or any crime show with my friends while working on a knitting project.

I had heard incredible things about the Miss Thurston County Scholarship Program, and yet it managed to exceed my expectations. This organization pours so much love and support into every girl involved, and I am so honoured to be able to represent this incredible program. The Miss America Opportunity has provided me with scholarships, confidence, career skills, and the most incredible friends. I am so grateful for the chance to be a part of this organization, and I cannot wait to begin my year of service.

My Community Service Initiative is titled “Dismantle Diet Culture”, which aims to educate our communities on the causes of eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, while also raising awareness about various support systems for those experiencing an eating disorder. I grew up surrounding my diet culture, and because of that, I developed anorexia at age 11. It is only because a friend pointed out concerning my eating habits were, when I realized that what I was doing was unhealthy, and I was able to begin the recovery process. I am so blessed to have survived anorexia, and to be able to advocate for others going through a similar experience. I currently work with the National Eating Disorders Association, also known as NEDA, to further spread my initiative. I am currently a NEDA Campus Warrior, and a trained Body Project Facilitator, and I currently advocate for my cause on social media (@dismantle_diet_culture). I am so excited to continue my advocacy as your new Miss Thurston County, and I cannot wait for the year ahead!
